Founder Professor Lars Edenbrandt

 – a leading expert in clinical decision support systems


Lars Edenbrandt is Professor in Clinical Physiology and Nuclear Medicine at Gothenburg University and also works as consultant at the Malmö University Hospital (UMAS) in Malmö. He is leader of the Lund University Research Programme in Medical Informatics (LUMI). The LUMI network is an organization for the co-ordination of research in the multidisciplinary field of medical informatics at Lund University. The long-term goal of the research is to develop decision support systems which will be capable of providing aid in clinical decision-making. The LUMI network

currently involves approximately 20 faculty members, five to ten PhD students and 20 associate members (engineers, technologists, a research nurse, etc).
Edenbrandt founded EXINI Diagnostics, under the name of WeAidU, in 1999 as a result of the research generated within his team, and was CEO of the company until the spring of 2007. Edenbrandt is still very much involved in the daily work of EXINI Diagnostics, as Director of Research.
